The name "Metagama" is synonymous with the fabric of island communities. It was the name of the huge ocean liner on which hundreds of islanders emigrated to North America around 100 years ago, with the promise of a more prosperous existence, ensuring the diaspora of the Isles of Lewis and Harris enjoyed an international dimension — a link which is still very much alive and well to this day (find out more).

This luxurious timber lodge is the perfect choice for couples who want a relaxing break or families wanting to explore the Scottish Island of Lewis. Built using-environmentally sensitive methods and sustainable materials, Metagama offers lots of light, with the high Cathedral ceilings creating a warm, relaxed and stunning space. All fittings are of the highest standard and you can take full advantage of our sauna, Jacuzzi bath and double shower. We have two bedrooms which sleep four and a mezzanine loft space situated off the Minstrel Gallery above the living area, ideal for reading or a play area for children.
