Fantastic Fresh Seafood

The town of Stornoway has a wide variety of eating establishments, with fantastic fresh seafood and local produce. It literally caters for every taste, from the upmarket dining experience to curry houses and Chinese and Thai restaurants. And why not try our two fish and chip shops near the pier in Stornoway town centre for that everyday convenience. There is also a fantastic variety of restaurants and hotels in the rural districts of Lewis and Harris. If dining is your thing, you won't go bored. But be warned, it is not easy to get food after 9pm.

An Lanntair Arts Centre – offers a bright 50 seat restaurant on the first floor with fine views over the harbour and an airy café bar above the foyer, there is comfortable seating and local art on the walls. 10 am to late.
Cabarfeidh Hotel – 3 star hotel offering three creative eating options. A fine dining area offering classic cuisine, a brasserie with imaginative, modern menus and a cafe serving home-made patisserie, gelati ice cream plus speciality tea and coffee.
Caladh Inn – 2 star hotel a popular restaurant, it's stylish, fun, family friendly and great value. Choose from the buffet, the a la carte Char Grill menu, or treat yourself to amazing seafood which arrives in our kitchens within minutes of landing at the nearby harbour.

Crown Hotel - Restaurant, Lounge Bar
Digby Chick Restaurant – very popular with the locals and is very busy during the summer months serving regulars and visitors attracted by the promise of good Scottish cuisine. The decor is modern and the restaurant has an intimate atmosphere, becoming buzzing at weekends. 'Catch of the Day' Specials are shown on the restaurant blackboard.
Park Guest House & Restaurant - 4 star Victorian, stone-built house tastefully refurbished. Licensed restaurant. Island & Scottish fayre a specialty.
Royal Hotel - 2 star hotel with a stylish, modern, international menu includes a good range of steaks, pasta, wraps, salads, authentic curries and an amazing double burger.
Stornoway Balti House - fine Indian cuisine, specialising in Balti and Tandoori dishes.

Eating Out - Isle of Lewis and Harris
Doune Braes Hotel – Doune Carloway, Restaurant, Lounge and Bar specialising in a variety of local, fresh seafood dishes such as shellfish, prawns, scallops, lobster and whitefish, menu also include a range of meat and vegetarian dishes.
Sulair Restaurant, Port of Ness - Licenced restaurant
The Anchorage Restaurant, Leverburgh, Harris – fresh quality local seafood, famous fish and chips, home baking and breathtaking views.
The Cross Inn, Cross, Ness - The Islands most northerly Hotel and restaurant , food is served throughout the day, either in the lounge, or restaurant in the evening.  Local fresh produce in season features on the menu.
The Loch Erisort Inn, Sheildinish, South Lochs -  The restaurant is open from midday to 9.30 seven days a week May to December, with reduced opening times during Jan to April.  A variety of dishes are available, and the menu changes from week to week with locally sourced produce and all dishes are home prepared and cooked.
