5 Lower Sandwick
This property was the original croft house built ca 1899 with an outlook over the approaches of Stornoway Harbour. It was rebuilt and extended in 2011. Part of the stone wall of the original building remains as a feature wall, and with picture windows and a patio door in the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, the whole area is filled with natural light. The rough detailing of the feature stone wall connects us to the past and offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy special occasions with family and loved ones. The large dining table can seat six comfortably and with the well-equipped kitchen creates a sociable and inclusive hub so no-one is cut off from the main living area – ideal for holidays!
The spacious ground-floor bedroom and shower room are perfect for guests with mobility issues. Upstairs there are a further large two bedrooms .Both have large roof windows boasting views across the bay and creating bright airy rooms. A second shower room is also on this floor.
All three bedrooms have zip and link beds so can be set up as three twin-bedded rooms or three queen-size rooms, or of course something in between! So this holiday cottage is perfect for families and larger groups of singles. Please advise us of intended configuration at time of booking.
BT Vision TV is in the lounge area with Freeview TV in all the bed rooms, also fibre internet.
It is a 20-minute walk via a tarred footpath along the beach into the town centre, or a five-minute drive on the main road.
